Uddingston Community Council

Welcome to Uddingston Community Council Website.

We are a statutory body set up to act as a link between our town’s residents and South Lanarkshire Council and other organisations. We consist of elected people from the community who are willing to give up a small amount of their time to represent Uddingston’s residents and highlight any issues which arise in the community.

We meet in the David Milne Centre in Old Mill Road on the third Thursday of each month, except July, We meet at 7pm and are in urgent need of new members to join us. If you merely wish to come along as a member of the public, you are more than welcome.

We also manage the Community Micro Grant scheme. Each year we will have £5,000 available from an allocation provided by South Lanarkshire Council using funds from the Renewable Energy Fund. This is available to eligible local groups for awards of up to £500 to support projects that meet the scheme’s criteria. For more information go to the Micro Grants page on our website.

Please note that applications are currently still not open for Micro Grants for 2020. Please look out for an update on when the 2020 scheme opens up.
